Self Defence

We are approved by the British Judo Association as personal advisors to a common, national standard subject to annual re-certification.

Course 1 - Basic Personal Safety

Section 1

· Self defence and the law
· Recognising the signs of conflict
· Defusing conflict
· Effective Communication
· Defensive positioning
· Working in a team
· Incident recording
· Co-operating with the police

Section 2

· Self defence techniques practical demonstration
· Escape from grips and strangles and two restraint techniques

Section 3

· Review of section 2 with practical demonstration and student participation
· Written examination and practical assessment
